Victoria’s Prom Dress – 2011!!!

Vicky finished her prom dress on Wednesday night… Sure, there were feathers all over the studio and class had officially ended hours ago – but there was a little bit of magic in the air and Vicky looked like she might die of excitement right then and there. How often do you finish making your own silk chiffon and ostrich feather fairy-tale dress and then get to wear it to your prom two days later??? Everyone in the studio last month was excited to see the finished product, and while I don’t have pics from last night’s party yet, I think it’s safe to post a few more process pics now that prom is over… so here they are. I think this is one of the most spectacular and amazing pieces that a student has made so far at The Make Den and it will definitely go down in the books as one of the longest! Vicky worked on it for nearly 4 months. Hard work and patience pay off, guys!
Stay tuned for pics of Vicky wearing it at the prom later this week…

  1. We know how complicated it can get when you are trying to select large of your party outfit. Should you end up picking your preferred shade, or a new stylish shade, like the Colour of the Year? Or should you go with whatever your best companion suggests. Study this before you quit and depend on old standby: dark-colored, because really is not for everyone.
