Darcie has been sewing since the age of 12, and designing her own clothes since she was 14. Making almost all her own clothes in high school, she would design outfits, make patterns from scratch, fumble on the sewing machine trying to figure out how to stitch her designs together, and hope they turned out. There were of course, some disasters (and a few crimes against fashion), but many of them did in fact turn out.
Darcie went on to graduate from the Fashion Technology program at The University of Hawaii, Maui College.
Joining The Make Den team in 2012, she is both a sewing and leather working teacher, as well as the studio manager. Darcie is passionate about sharing her creative and technical skill with all of her students.
