Fashion and teaching are two of the things that Theresa Ghislaine is most passionate about. She graduated f
rom the Fashion Design program at Ryerson University in 2008, and spent the next several years working in the apparel industry. However, she eventually realized that her childh
ood dream of being a teacher could not be left unfulfilled, so she started teaching classes at The Make Den, and went back to school to complete teacher’s college. She loves teaching sewing to students of all ages, and she believes that sewing is both a valuable life skill and an exciting creative outlet.
Although fashion will always be her first love, Theresa Ghislaine is also a bit obsessed with quilting, and she loves introducing students to this craft in her quilting classes. If you catch her in the shop, she’ll be more than happy to help you coordinate some of our pretty fabrics for your next project, or show you photos of her latest quilt-in-progress.
