Students will learn how to sew and attach cuffs, yokes, front button plackets, front pockets, collars and collar stands, and well as how to create buttonholes, attach buttons and sew a narrow hem.
All students will need to purchase a pattern for the shirt they choose to make, which they can then keep to recreate their shirt time and time again. All patterns and sizes are available for purchase at the studio.
Fit samples will be available to try on. Please bring your pre-washed fabric to your the first class. (*if you are unsure of your size, we suggest rounding up when looking at fabric requirements) (**when pre-washing your fabric, wash fabric in the same manner you plan on laundering your finished garment)

This class is 8 weeks long and each class is 2hrs. There is a maximum of 5 students in each class.
Course fee is $280 + HST
If you miss a class or need some extra time to finish your project, you can book additional class time with our Continuing Projects sessions held Tuesday nights at 6pm or 8:15pm twice a month.
Current and former students are always invited to use our open studio time from 6-9pm on Friday evenings in addition to their regular class time. Click here to register online. Space is limited.
***Class registration fees are non-refundable. If you need to cancel you class, you can use your credit towards a different class date or towards materials from our retail space. There is a $35~ fee for classes cancelled or changed with less than 7 days notice from your registered start date.
