Now that you’ve learned the basics in Quilting 1, put those skills to use by making a sampler quilt! Tackle your first big quilting project with friendly tips and advice to help you out each step of the way. With this modern quilting sampler you’ll be introduced to new techniques, such as paper piecing, improvised curved seams, trimming down to size, and adding borders.
Students who register for this class need to be familiar with basic quilting and the tools involved. It is strongly recommended that you have completed Quilting 1 at the Make Den, or a similar beginner quilt class (including piecing, machine quilting, and binding)
The focus in Quilting 2 will be on making multiple blocks with different techniques, and then piecing them together into a larger project. Much of our class time will be dedicated to sewing, quilting and binding your finished quilt project.
Upon registration, you’ll be sent the fabric requirements for the class.
Sampler Quilts runs for 8 weeks, and each class is 2 hrs. Course fee is $250 + HST.
Make-Up classes are not available for this class, so please only register for this class if you can make it to all 8 sessions! ***If you need to re-register in another start date entirely, it is possible but we do charge a cancellation fee of $35 +HST with less than 7 days notice.
